Why do we need a set-up team?
As a young and growing church, we have to stay committed to effective use of our resources. As a church plant in an economy where purchasing real-estate is not really a wise option for us, we are so grateful that God has provided us with a place to grow for a price that isn't burdensome. With this blessing, we can achieve our goal to be an independent, self sustaining church that is reaching increasing numbers of people with a church devoted to worship, community and redemptive action.
Being portable comes with some trade-offs... we have to set-up our church every week. We have a committed worship team that puts over 8 hours a week into preparation and rehearsal to lead our community with into an effective worship experience. Would you be willing to help behind the scenes by committing to a few hours on a rotating Sunday schedule to make this happen?
What would I be committing to?
The set-up team currently arrives at the church at 3:00pm on Sundays. Their goal is to have the sanctuary ready for the band to start rehearsing by 3:45pm. The set-up team then finishes setting up the sanctuary, Backyard (our children's ministry) and signage in the hallways. Usually they are finished by 5:00 and head over to Jakes to hang out until 6:00. Ideally, each team serves in one month blocks of time but we can use you in any capacity.
We appreciate you considering joining the set-up team.
