What is Crossroads' worship like?

Crossroads worship band strives to create environments where people can worship through music without distractions. Our style is upbeat and energetic; but, we really value meditative moments in our music as well. Everything we do, no matter how much talent we have, with every note we play or sing, our goal is to point to our Maker and give him the glory he deserves. At Crossroads you can expect to see people worship many different ways. Some like to stretch themselves out to the heavens as they sing while others like to sit and pray as we sing around them; you can feel free to worship however you are comfortable.

What is it like to be on the Crossroads' worship team?

Being part of Crossroads worship team is a blast! We ALWAYS have fun. But, we also take our ministry very seriously and we like to sound good (who doesn't). Our goal is to always have a happy marriage between having fun leading worship AND continually striving to provide the highest quality music that we can. We are always looking for more musicians. More musicians bring diversity and more options to our worship team. If you are interested, even the slightest bit, give me a shout.

How much time does it require to be on the worship team?

A worship team can spend unlimited amounts of time rehearsing and preparing; that can be a real drag. I want Crossroads' worship team to be as rewarding as it can be for my volunteers. As a band we talk about a five hour rule: Each band member commits to 5 quality hours preparing, BUT no more that 5 hours. The key word is "quality". We strive to maximize our five hours. The most basic way is respecting each others time. If one person is fifteen minutes late, they waste 15 minutes for everyone. There are many other ways to maximize our time; we are always looking for more ways, and we hold each other accountable and take it seriously.
